Event Details: Friday, April 10, 2020 | 8:15 - 11:30 a.m. | Feeding South Florida Pembroke Park Warehouse (2501 SW 32 Terrace, Pembroke Park, FL)
Learn More: We're looking for volunteers to help inspect, sort, and repackage food donations for distribution to community members struggling to put food on the table.
In the US, we make enough food to feed every single person, but we waste nearly 40% of all the food we produce. Feeding South Florida rescues more than 50 million pounds of food annually to over 700,000 food insecure South Floridians. Feeding South Florida works with a network of 300 nonprofit partner agencies, such as soup kitchens and food pantries, in order to ensure that food assistance is provided to throughout the quad-county service area.
Please arrive promptly at 8:15 a.m. for orientation and bring a water bottle. All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes; those not wearing appropriate footwear will not be able to enter the warehouse. Bathroom facilities are available on site.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
