Alumni, Family and Friends
What Happened: On Tuesday, April 9, SNHU community members created a special event where girls from the Manchester community come and find dresses for their proms and semi-formals. The event starts with a donation drive for dresses, shoes, and accessories appropriate for formal dances and events. The collected items are then handed over to our first shift volunteers to sort and set up.
Over several hours, 45 volunteers assisted with hanging up dresses by color, setting up the accessories tables, welcoming guests, working at the steam table, helping girls find dresses and helping out at the dressing rooms. We had nearly 60 girls attend and find dresses for their upcoming formal events, all at no cost to them.
Share Your Story: Remember to use #ServeWithSNHU to join the movement and share your experience on social media from the event, and you can always give us more details on the Share My Story page.
Stay Involved: Current on-campus student Nicole Clark was the volunteer project leader for this event. If you have general questions about SNHU Global Days of Service, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement. And, check out more ways to get engaged with the SNHU community!
