COVID-19 Update: We are closely monitoring developments regarding the coronavirus. The health, safety, and wellbeing of the SNHU community is of the utmost importance to us. We are not taking registrations for any in-person Global Days of Service projects at this time. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
Event Details: Friday, April 24, 2020 | 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. | MSPCA at Nevins Farm (400 Broadway, Methuen, MA)
Learn More: The mission of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society.
We're looking for volunteers to help repair and beautify outdoor areas at Nevins Farm. Tasks include: painting the fence; minor fence repair to rotting boards; removing weeds from the pen; and painting some of the agility equipment. This project will be completed outdoors, rain or shine.
Bathroom facilities will be available. We suggest wearing closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a water bottle and work gloves, if you have them. There is plenty of parking on site. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
*Bonus points* to anyone who can bring a weed-whacker or tiller to remove large weeds.
Once you register, you'll receive an email confirmation with event details, and your site leader will take it from there!
