What Happened: On Sunday, April 28, Devon Energy hosted The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. The Marathon welcomed more than 23,000 runners from around the world to honor the 168 victims of the 1995 bombing. Funds raised by OKC Memorial Marathon fund The Oklahoma City National Foundation, a private 501(c)(3) organization which owns and operate the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. The Memorial Foundation also provides educational resources across the nation so that the events of this day are not forgotten, nor repeated.
Volunteers served food to the marathon runners as they cross the finish line. Races included a Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay, 5K, and Kids Marathon.
