COVID-19 Update: We are closely monitoring developments regarding the coronavirus. The health, safety, and wellbeing of the SNHU community is of the utmost importance to us. We are not taking registrations for any in-person Global Days of Service projects at this time. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
Event Details: Thursday, April 30, 2020 | 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. | Volunteer Center/Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (3355 S. Purdue Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73179)
Learn More: Volunteers are essential to providing food for Oklahomans living with hunger. Volunteers will help to sort, pack, and prepare food for a variety of Regional Food Bank programs. Tasks may include: assembling sacks of nutritious food for the Food for Kids Backpack program; packing Commodity Supplemental Food program boxes full of food for seniors living in fixed incomes; sorting and packing bread, bread, produce, packed meals and/or cans; tagging bags; and cleaning.
Because the Regional Food Bank's inventory changes daily, the Regional Food Bank cannot guarantee volunteers who sign up to work in the Volunteer Center will pack and prepare food for a specific program.
Volunteers must be at least 8 years old to participate. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Restrooms, parking, snacks, and drinks will be available on-site.
Please note that certain navigation applications may send you to North Purdue, instead of South Purdue.
