What Happened: On Saturday, April 6, SNHU community members joined RunningWorks Inc. to assist with their Final 4 Miler race. Volunteers helped with packet pick up, passing out race bibs and t-shirts, cheering for racers, and medal distribution at the finish line. Some of the volunteers had so much fun, they are planning to assist RunningWorks with future events.
RunningWorks, Inc. is a values-led, mentorship-based organization which seeks to help elevate the mental and physical well-being of the most vulnerable in our community. They routinely volunteer for local Charlotte races to display to their program participants the value of volunteerism, commitment, and team work. As a result of volunteering, their program participants are able to earn race entries, the organization is able to bring more awareness the needs of the population they serve, and they are often a financial beneficiary of the race.
