Sustainability Summit: Call for Proposals
The Office of Sustainability invites you to submit a proposal to present a 40-minute in-person or virtual workshop at the inaugural Sustainability Summit on April 8, 2024. The summit is a networking space to share progress on SNHU sustainability goals and find inspiration on incorporating sustainability into your work. Proposals can address a wide variety of topics ranging from projects implemented to research conducted on sustainability initiatives and more. Submissions are due by Feb. 15. Auditions are now open for alumni interested in singing the U.S. national anthem during the 2024 Spring Commencement ceremonies on the weekend of May 4-5. Earn Your Master of Education
Interested in becoming a teacher? Achieve your desire to make a difference by earning your Master of Education (MEd) degree in as few as 16 months. Our Manchester, New Hampshire, clinical program will give you the degree, skills and professional licensure you need to start your teaching career. Programs include:

Low-Residency Master’s of Fine Arts (MFA) Program in Fiction or Nonfiction
Ready to write your story? Our two-year, low-residency program allows students to live anywhere and work a full-time job. We never allow the number of students to exceed 65 total – about 16 per cohort – so our students develop close and sustaining relationships with faculty during our intensive weeklong residencies. Congratulations to the My Turn Graduates!
SNHU recently celebrated 35 graduates of My Turn Inc., which serves economically, socially and educationally disadvantaged youth in poorer communities. In a special ceremony on Jan. 25, the graduates were celebrated for their completion of the HiSET and GED test preparation programs. These exams are recognized as an option to earn a high school equivalency certificate in the state of New Hampshire. This is the fourth graduation ceremony supported by the SNHU Community Impact and Ceremonies & Events teams.
15 SNHU Students Awarded with Scholarships for Community Development
The Chandler Center recently awarded scholarships to 15 SNHU students who have distinguished themselves through their unwavering dedication to enhancing the well-being of their community. Each recipient is actively engaged in initiatives that strengthen their community, addressing social, environmental, or economic challenge. Their efforts reflect a shared dedication to building a more resilient, sustainable, and enriched community.

Jennifer Van Syckle '19, of Helena, Montana, started a new job with the State of Montana Teachers Retirement System as the communications specialist. The degree from SNHU made it possible for her to leave healthcare and work in a field she enjoys!
Lindsay Young ’18, of Pembroke, New Hampshire, was promoted to human resources and payroll administrator at the New Hampshire General Court.
