Program: Master of Business Administration w/ a conc. in Sport Management
I chose Southern New Hampshire University because it gave me the opportunity to pursue my master’s degree while continuing my journey as a student-athlete and building experience in the sports industry. I wanted a program that would challenge me academically but also support my growth outside the classroom through leadership, athletics, and professional development. What I value most about SNHU is the flexibility and support system that has allowed me to balance everything while still growing personally and professionally. The relationships I’ve built here and the opportunities I’ve been given have helped me develop stronger discipline, leadership, and confidence in my future career path.
The scholarships and financial aid I receive make it possible for me to continue my education at SNHU by easing the financial burden of graduate school while I focus on my academic, athletic, and professional responsibilities. Without this support, balancing tuition costs alongside being a student-athlete and holding multiple leadership roles would be much more difficult. These awards allow me to stay committed to my goals without constantly worrying about the financial strain of pursuing my degree. Most importantly, they have given me the motivation to stay focused, work harder, and take full advantage of every opportunity SNHU offers as I prepare for my future career in the sports industry.
I want to sincerely thank you for your generosity and for investing in students like me. Your support has made a real difference in my ability to continue my education, stay focused on my goals, and fully engage in my experience at SNHU. As a first-generation graduate student and student-athlete, this scholarship has helped lighten a significant financial burden and allowed me to pursue opportunities I am deeply passionate about. I hope to one day pay it forward and provide the same kind of support to students who are working hard to build their future.
My journey to and through Southern New Hampshire University has been shaped by both my academic goals and my identity as a student-athlete. I was inspired to pursue my degree in sports business because of my passion for athletics and my desire to work on the business side of the sports industry while continuing to grow as a leader. SNHU gave me the opportunity to advance my education while still competing and developing professionally, which was important to me in taking the next step after my undergraduate experience. What I am most proud of so far is my ability to balance graduate-level coursework, NCAA athletics, and multiple leadership roles while continuing to grow personally and professionally. Through these experiences, I have developed stronger time management, discipline, and confidence in my future career path. I am especially proud of how I have been able to take what I’ve learned in the classroom and apply it directly to my internships and leadership positions.
Receiving scholarship support has significantly shaped my experience at SNHU by allowing me to focus more fully on my academics, athletics, and professional development without being overwhelmed by financial stress. It has given me the ability to take advantage of opportunities such as leadership roles, internships, and involvement on campus that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. This support has also reinforced my commitment to my future goals in the sports industry, as it motivates me to continue working hard and making the most of my education. Knowing that others have invested in my success pushes me to stay disciplined and intentional about my path, and it inspires me to eventually give back and support students in the same way.
Yes, my experiences within the Sports Management department at SNHU have had a very meaningful impact on me. All of my professors have been incredibly supportive, inspiring, and genuinely invested in student success. They have consistently made class feel like more than just course work by creating an environment where students feel comfortable engaging, asking questions, and sharing ideas. What I value most is that they have created a space that feels like a safe and welcoming learning environment, where I’ve been able to grow not only academically, but also personally and professionally. Their encouragement and guidance have played a major role in shaping my confidence and passion for pursuing a career in the sports industry.
