The community feel. I love all the people here and I truly consider it home.
They relieve some of the financial burden and give me an opportunity to focus more on my SNHU experience rather than worry about the money.
Your generous support of scholarships is allowing students to reach their goals with less of a financial burden. Thank you so much!
The community feel and the New England location. Choosing SNHU was the best decision I've ever made.
My hope was to gain an education that leads to success in my chosen career. SNHU has more than prepared me to take on the professional world and I look forward to using the skills that this university has taught me both professionally and personally.
I chose communication as my major because of the versatility. With the world continuing to go digital, there is a lack of interpersonal communication skills. By learning how to properly communicate, I'll be more desirable to employers in my future career. My dream is to go into tech sales, where I can use my communication skills to benefit a company whose values I align with.
There have been many that have influenced my SNHU experience. The Communication Professors (Dave Humphreys, Andrea Bard and Jon Boroshok) have all mentored me and prepared me for post graduation. Their efforts and desire to help us succeed has gone a long way. My Residence Directors (Athena Adair and Dee Dube) have been the two people I can count on the most while living on campus at SNHU. I can tell them everything and they both know exactly how to help. I wouldn't be where I am today without them. My Office of Admissions supervisors (Jess Gallant, Brittany Flannery and Rachel Herbert) and all of the admissions counselors have been so supportive of my goals and have taught me a sense of professionalism like no other.
I'm a resident assistant in Kingston Hall, as well as the co-editor-in-chief of The Penmen Press, penmen guide leader in the Office of Admissions, and treasurer of the Outing Club. I also serve on the Campus New Club committee.
What I find to be most challenging as a student is time management. Given my extensive involvement, I have to be creative with how I schedule my days while also making time for myself. I deal with this by utilizing my Outlook Calendar. This calendar keeps me organized and makes it easy for me to manage my time more effectively.
While at SNHU, my proudest achievement has been being inducted into the Alpha Chi Honor Society. Having the honor of being in the top 10% of my class is an honor I hold to the highest regard. I'm especially proud because despite how much involvement I have in extracurriculars and I'm still able to receive high marks. I look forward to continue to show my academic prowess at SNHU.
I hope to one day be able to give back to SNHU through supporting student scholarships. The scholarship I received had a tremendous impact on my educational experience, so I hope to do the same for students in the future.
