What do you like most about SNHU?

The ability to continue my education online with flexible hours.

How do the scholarships and financial aid you receive make it possible for you to attend SNHU? Specifically, how have scholarships made a difference?

Scholarships make or break me being able to attend SNHU.

What would you say to those who donate to support student scholarships?

Keep doing what you are doing. You are making a direct impact on student's lives by contributing.

Why did you choose Southern New Hampshire University?

I chose SNHU because of the online program and the many degrees options offered. Being a NH resident, it was well marketed to me and seemed to be the best fit. Other schools in NH did not have nearly as big of an online degree program.

What was your hope in receiving a college education? How has your experience been different than what you’d imagined?

My hope was to expand my job opportunities by receiving a college education. I have been looking to see what jobs are out there and the requirements I would need to land one when I graduate. There are some technology skills (Photoshop, Adwords) that are also needed that I am trying to work on simultaneously.

What inspired you to choose your area of study? What is your dream job?

I started off with a degree in Business Administration because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in Business. As my business career started to sprout and I developed experience in Accounting, Sales and Marketing, I knew that Marketing was a good fit for me. My dream job would be to be a Marketing Manager for a large company. I would love to be able to represent my brand across a multitude of marketing channels, help drive revenue and create growth opportunities.

Who at SNHU (professor, coach, advisor, etc.) has been the biggest influence on your SNHU experience? What lessons did that person teach you?

My professors, for sure!

What do you find most challenging? How do you deal with this?

Time management with working 50+ hours a week and family obligations, then finding the time to login and get the work done each week. The course work was completely manageable. There were a couple of courses that I took that were tricky to navigate on my own. But after reaching out to the professor and even some tutors, I was able to learn the material.

What are you proudest of?

That I didn’t quit. I kept learning no matter how hard it was, I didn’t stop.

In what ways do you want/hope to stay involved as an alumnus/a?

I hope I can contribute in some way to Career Services as an alumnus. I feel I have a lot of life experience as well as existing career experience I can share.
