What I like most about SNHU is its supportive and inclusive community that fosters both academic and personal growth. The university provides numerous opportunities to get involved, such as leadership roles in clubs and community service through The Chandler Center. This environment has allowed me to develop as a leader, collaborate with diverse peers, and engage in meaningful initiatives like the DECA conference in Austin, Texas. SNHU's focus on student success and hands-on experience has made my time here truly enriching and has prepared me to pursue my career goals with confidence.
The scholarship I received has been crucial in allowing me to pursue my education at SNHU. Without this financial support, attending SNHU would have been a significant financial challenge. This scholarship has eased the burden of tuition costs, enabling me to focus entirely on my studies and engage fully in extracurricular activities without financial stress. It has truly made a difference in my academic journey by giving me the freedom to concentrate on my goals and make the most of my time at SNHU.
To the generous donors of this scholarship, I extend my deepest gratitude. Your support of student scholarships has made it possible for me to attend SNHU and pursue opportunities that will shape my future. Thank you for believing in my potential and for investing in my dreams. Your generosity is changing lives, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has provided.
I chose Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) because of its strong reputation for innovation and its commitment to providing a practical, career-focused education. SNHU's flexible programs and supportive learning environment were particularly appealing to me as an international student, allowing me to balance my academic pursuits with other responsibilities. Additionally, the university's diverse and inclusive community fosters a global perspective, which is crucial for my growth in the field of Business Analytics. These qualities made SNHU the ideal choice for advancing my education and career goals.
My hope in receiving a college education was to gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to build a successful career in Business Analytics. I envisioned an education that would provide me with a strong theoretical foundation, practical skills, and opportunities to apply what I learned in real-world settings. I also hoped that college would be a time for personal growth, where I could develop leadership abilities, build a professional network, and explore my passions.
My passion for Business Analytics was sparked early on, during my 8th grade Economics class, where I was first introduced to the power of data in understanding and influencing economic trends. This initial interest grew over the years as I realized how data-driven decision making can transform businesses and drive innovation. The ability to analyze data, extract meaningful insights, and apply them to solve complex business problems fascinated me, and I knew that pursuing a career in Business Analytics would allow me to combine my analytical skills with my desire to make a tangible impact in the business world.
At Southern New Hampshire University, several professors have significantly influenced my experience, but Dr. John Sherlock, Dr. Billie Anderson, Dr. Kishore Pochumpally, and Dr. Tej Dhakar stand out as the most impactful.
During my time at Southern New Hampshire University, I have been actively involved in a variety of student clubs and organizations, which have greatly enriched my college experience. I served as the Vice President of the Student Economics and Finance Club, where I helped organize events and discussions focused on current economic and financial trends. Additionally, I had the honor of representing SNHU at the DECA conference in Austin, Texas, in 2024, which provided me with valuable networking opportunities and insights into the business world.
As a student, one of the most challenging aspects I face is balancing the demands of academics, extracurricular activities, and personal life. Managing time effectively while meeting the rigorous expectations of my coursework, especially in a field as demanding as Business Analytics, can be quite overwhelming. The pressure to excel academically while also contributing meaningfully to student organizations and maintaining a personal life sometimes feels like juggling multiple priorities at once.
One of the things I am proudest of is my ability to successfully balance a rigorous academic program with meaningful extracurricular involvement, all while adapting to life as an international student far from home. Pursuing a degree in Business Analytics at Southern New Hampshire University has been demanding, but I have managed to not only excel academically, but also take on leadership roles in various student organizations, such as serving as Vice President of the Student Economics and Finance Club and Treasurer of the South Asian Student Association (SASA).
As a graduate, I hope to stay actively involved with Southern New Hampshire University in several meaningful ways. First, I aim to contribute to the alumni network by mentoring current students, particularly those pursuing degrees in Business Analytics. Sharing my experiences and insights with students navigating similar paths would be a rewarding way to give back to the community that has supported me.
