What do you like most about SNHU?

The flexibility to complete ths school work on my own schedule.

How do the scholarships and financial aid you receive make it possible for you to attend SNHU? Specifically, how have scholarships made a difference?

The scholarship I have received helped me pay for my balance to attend my current courses.

What would you say to those who donate to support student scholarships?

Thank you! You are wonderful people that truly help further education and dreams.

Why did you choose Southern New Hampshire University?

They offered a degree I was interested in, have great reviews and graduation rates, and have the accreditation I was looking for in a university.

What was your hope in receiving a college education? How has your experience been different than what you’d imagined?

I just wanted to complete my degree. But I've been able to maintain a 4.0 while my husband has been overseas and I'm taking care of our six year old daughter. The flexibility of this school has helped me thrive.

What inspired you to choose your area of study? What is your dream job?

I have always loved art. I would have taken only art classes in high school if I was allowed. As it was, I was in three my senior year, including AP art. I always loved art, but was never sure how to make a career out of it. After working for bigger companies I found I was able to use my skills after all. I decided I wanted to pursue a degree in graphic design and web development as it seem the best option for me. My dream is to help clients and small business showcase their brand and truly be seen.

Who at SNHU (professor, coach, advisor, etc.) has been the biggest influence on your SNHU experience? What lessons did that person teach you?

All of my professors have been very encouraging and helped in each class so far.

What do you find most challenging? How do you deal with this?

Sometimes I let my procrastination get the better of me. I just have to set time aside to focus on my classes and finish my work on schedule. Coffee also helps.

What are you proudest of?

Keeping a 4.0 GPA while being a single mom.
