How caring all the faculty and staff are about the success of each and every student!!
It's financially hard on me to live on campus full-time and being paying for my education, so every little bit helps!
Those that support student scholarships are helping hard-working individuals achieve their dreams.
I chose to attend Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) primarily because of the exceptional level of care and dedication exhibited by the faculty and staff towards the success of each student. From the moment I started researching universities, it became apparent that SNHU prioritizes its students' well-being and academic achievements in a truly remarkable way.
During my interactions with faculty members, I was struck by their genuine interest in helping students thrive. Whether it was through email exchanges, virtual meetings or campus visits, the professors consistently displayed a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment. Their approachability and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure students' comprehension and progress greatly influenced my decision.
When I embarked on my college education my hope was to gain the best experience ever. I envisioned a journey filled with enriching knowledge, personal growth and countless opportunities that would shape my future. I aspired to expand my intellectual horizons, discover new passions, forge lifelong friendships and acquire the skills necessary to pursue a fulfilling career.
My college experience has been different from what I initially imagined because I ended up having the opportunity to meet and interact with individuals who made a significant difference in my academic and personal growth. Meeting supportive and inspiring individuals had a transformative effect on my college experience. It's through these connections that we often gain new perspectives, receive guidance and find encouragement during challenging times. These individuals include professors, mentors, classmates and even staff members who extended their support and helped me navigate the intricacies of college life.
My aunt inspired me to choose my area of study, as she had spent many years in finance at Raytheon. I originally came in as a criminal justice major, but I felt numbers were more up my alley.
Stacy Dowling has gone above and beyond what a program advisor should do. She has been a great mentor as well as an advisor. She has helped me through some of the hardest times in my journey and helped me dig out of some of the darkest holes. She has guided me to be the best version of myself as possible.
I've been a part of two clubs in my time here at SNHU. I spent two years with Student Government as a senator on the budget and finance committee. I also have been a part of Club Baseball for three seasons and I'm now the vice president of the club.
I'm proudest of my ability to manage my time efficiently. Being a full-time student, working 20+ hours each week and being involved in clubs all at the same time isn't easy, but being able to juggle all that is something I take great pride in.
My goal/aspiration is to continue with school and obtain my MBA with a focus in finance.
