I chose Southern New Hampshire University because growing up in Hooksett, it felt like a natural next step for me both personally and academically. My sister is an SNHU alum, and hearing about her experience helped me feel confident that I would be supported here. I love how approachable the professors are and how the university focuses on helping students connect what we’re learning to real world careers. So far I’ve also really appreciated the flexibility and support that have helped me balance school and work.
The scholarships and financial aid I receive make it possible for me to stay in school and continue working toward my degree without as much financial strain on my family. Because of some personal circumstances, this support has made a very real difference in helping me remain enrolled. It allows me to focus more on my classes and my future instead of constantly worrying about how to afford each semester. I’m very grateful for the stability it provides during a difficult time.
I would want to sincerely thank the alumni and friends whose generosity made my scholarship possible. Your support has a real impact on students like me, and it has made continuing my education possible during a challenging time. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity you’ve given me to keep working toward my goals at SNHU. Thank you for investing in students and helping make our futures feel more achievable.
My journey to SNHU really started in high school when I was part of the ProStart program at Pinkerton Academy. That experience introduced me to hospitality and helped me realize I wanted to pursue it as a career. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me confidence in presenting, working in teams, and thinking creatively under pressure. I chose to continue that path at SNHU as a business administration major with a concentration in hospitality business because it felt like the right place to build on what I had already started. So far, I’m most proud of maintaining a strong GPA while balancing full-time school and work, as well as being selected as a finalist in the 2026 Tony C. Marandos Entrepreneurship Competition.
Receiving scholarship support has made a meaningful difference in my ability to stay focused on my education. It has helped reduce financial stress and made it possible for me to continue pursuing my degree even during a time when things have been more challenging for my family. Because of that support, I’ve been able to spend more time focusing on school, work, and building experience in my field instead of worrying as much about how to afford each semester. It has also given me more confidence moving forward in my academic and career goals.
Yes. My English professor, Professor Olson, not only helped me become more confident in my writing and taught me how to express my ideas more clearly and professionally, but also taught me more personal lessons as well. He showed me how important patience and understanding are, and how much of a difference that can make. I really look up to him not only as a professor, but as a person. In addition, Dr. Koustas in International Business and Professor Stuke in Critical Business Skills both helped me better understand business concepts in a more practical and engaging way, connecting coursework to real world situations. Each of these professors created an environment where I felt supported and encouraged to participate, and that has made a big difference in my confidence as a student.
