SNHU has a wonderful community that welcomes everyone and offers so many opportunities.
Scholarships and other financial aid are the reason I am able to attend SNHU, because I am not eligible for loans that exceed a certain amount. They give everyone a chance to further their education. Scholarships are free money to us, donated by those who see students furthering their education as a worthy cause.
I would say thank you for investing in my future and giving me an optimal chance in my future field.
I chose SNHU because of the diversity, the amazing professors, and the opportunities that awaited me.
My hope was to find my path and where my interests lie. I was told that going to SNHU was a bad decision because I was undecided and didn't know which career choice would excite me, but choosing SNHU was the best decision I ever made. The staff at SNHU helped me find my passions, which I would have never discovered if I hadn't attended.
My communication major was brought on by my involvement with the Penmen Press and becoming Sports Editor. My dream job is to work with the Celtics as a part of their communications/journalism team.
Jon Boroshok has been the biggest influence on my SNHU journey so far. He has not only taught me about writing and how to be a good editor, but he has been helpful in listening to me whenever I need him and having meetings to understand my courses.
I play both intramural soccer and basketball, I play flute for the Wind Symphony, I am the Sports Editor for the Penmen Press, and I work as a tutor at the Wolak Learning Center. I am also a member of Alternative Break, which I absolutely love, and am an active volunteer with The Chandler Center.
Time management can be challenging at times, but it's all in understanding your deadlines and knowing how to communicate with professors. No one here wants you to fail; however, sometimes you do — but everyone helps you back up.
I am proudest of my 3.9 GPA at the end of last year, my first year.
I would love to be a scholarship donor to these students, just as people have done for me. I am lucky enough to experience the benefits of scholarships first hand, and I want to give that to others.Back to Meet Our Students
