SNHU cares!!! They truly care about me and what I've been through as a human being to push through the obstacles to get my degrees. It's my reason to give back!
Without this scholarship at this particular time, I would not be able to finish. With the demands of motherhood (mom of multiples) and my health issues, it would be next to impossible to afford my education.
You are making a tremendous difference in the lives of others. You ease the burden that many carry, and who would not otherwise be able to care for themselves or their families. Everything you do matters!
I chose SNHU for the flexibility in completing my degrees on my schedule.
I wanted to make a difference in the areas of health and education. I also want to be able to give back through my skills and talents. I didn't want to just get a degree that sat on a shelf. I want to use it to change the lives of others.
I chose Public Health because there are so many areas of health and healthcare that need improvement. Many public health conditions need advocacy, such as brain aneurysms. I chose Organizational Leadership to continue that path. My dream job would allow me to do both.
My biology and epidemiology professors taught me a lot about diseases and equity issues in healthcare treatment. This allows me to push for the care I need as a minority.
My brain. As a TBI and brain surgery survivor, it can be hard to study and stay focused, but the Online Accessibility Center has so many valuable tools to help students like me succeed.
I'm proud of my family for sticking by me and being understanding on this journey. I'm proud of being allowed to keep going.
I hope to communicate with other students and graduates to encourage them to keep going, either through online groups or speaking opportunities in the future.
