I chose SNHU for the affordable tuition and manageable weekly schedule for completing assignments – both of which are important when you’re raising a family.
My hope in receiving a college education was to have already completed college! Certain life obstacles prevented me from completing school the traditional way, but SNHU afforded me the opportunity to earn my degree despite what I had previously experienced. My experience is different in that I am older and my mind isn’t as sharp as it once was, but SNHU has made it easy to adapt.
It does resonate with me. The advisors that I’ve had always go the extra mile to make sure that my needs are met. Instructors understand when life happens and are willing to help aid in my success.
My background in dealing with domestic violence and witnessing criminal activity has inspired me to study Criminal Justice. I want to help people.
My dream job is to run my own private investigation firm.
My Judicial Administration instructor has been my biggest influence by opening my eyes to new possibilities that I never saw in myself. She has taught me not to limit my abilities.
I interact a lot with students via social media; we help one another get through and I love the comradery that we all have.
The most challenging for me is finding the time to get my work done when one of my kids' schedules throws me off. I deal with this by taking my work along for the ride – another reason to love SNHU, the mobility.
I am most proud of my ability to maintain decent grades. Taking care of a family, working, and school are tough jobs to juggle. My kids see what I’m doing and they are inspired by my efforts.
The scholarship donation has helped tremendously by allowing me to move forward and not let finances get in the way.
Make a plan and stick to it. The workload can easily be satisfied with a timeline set that fits your schedule.
I plan to actively seek employment in my new field of study, while also starting to successfully establish my private investigation firm.
I wouldn’t leave out the possibility of becoming an instructor for SNHU one day.
