How willingly everyone is to offer classes that work for an adult learner or new student.
I'm a disabled cancer survivor and a working adult. With medical costs on top of the cost of living, sometimes it's unclear if I'm able to save enough to go to school without accruing large amounts of debt. Thanks to scholarships and financial aid, I can obtain the education I need to change careers due to my disability. This financial assistance allows me to continue to be a functioning part of society and I'm eternally grateful.
Thank you so much for helping me afford my studies. Once I became disabled due to cancer, I was terrified I could never afford my master's degree. Generous donations like yours allow this to happen for me and I'm so grateful.
I needed a university that was able to take my adult life into consideration and was decently affordable. SNHU was not only that, but also incredibly considerate of my limitations due to cancer and flexible with me.
I'm hoping to branch into a new career. SNHU has been a wonderful experience and a welcoming change from most universities where you're basically just another number.
I was previously in corporate security as a brand protection investigator. Once I became disabled, I was pretty much forced to pivot my career into something that didn't quite require as much talking. I had always been interested in cybersecurity and it aligned with my work efforts, so I decided it was a great way to continue working in the field while also moving to a less interfacing role.
Time — there's never enough of it. I have a full-time job, a family, and a disability/health concern. Every moment of my day is eaten up by catering to something. Finding the appropriate time to insert my learning has been a challenge, but I try to set aside a good chunk of time to really dive into my class work.
Just being able to excel at these very challenging classes. So far I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and I'm exceedingly proud of that.
I believe in karma and hope I can contribute to the school once I've moved on and graduated.
