I chose SNHU because of the flexibility it gives me to complete my coursework around time with my children and my job. I must say that one of the most valuable things about SNHU is the advisors. They genuinely care about their students, and that makes a huge impact.
I would not be able to attend college if scholarships and grants were not made available to me. I struggle being a single mother of three, so it is crucial to have these resources.
I want to thank you for everything, and I am sincerely grateful for this opportunity. You have blessed me in a way that will stick with me forever. Thank you!
My journey to and through SNHU has been one of perseverance, growth, and determination. As a single mother of three daughters, pursuing higher education was not always an easy path. There were many times when balancing work, parenting, and school felt overwhelming, but I remained committed to creating a better future for my family and setting an example for my children that hard work and dedication can make even the most challenging goals achievable.
I initially earned my bachelor's degree in psychology through SNHU, becoming the first person in my family to earn a college degree. That accomplishment alone was something I never thought possible when I was younger. During my studies and through my work in schools, I discovered a passion for helping children who need additional support to succeed. This inspired me to continue my education and pursue a master's degree in special education.
My experience at SNHU has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. The flexibility of the program has made it possible for me to continue working full-time while raising my daughters and advancing my education. The knowledge and skills I have gained have directly impacted my work as an Intervention Specialist, helping me better support students with diverse learning needs.
What I am most proud of so far is not only earning my bachelor's degree, but also continuing to pursue my master's degree despite the many obstacles that come with balancing family, work, and school. I am proud that my daughters have been able to watch me work toward my goals and see firsthand the importance of perseverance and lifelong learning. Every course completed and every milestone reached reminds me how far I have come and motivates me to keep moving forward toward making a positive difference in the lives of students and families.
Receiving scholarship support has had a meaningful impact on my experience at SNHU and my ability to continue pursuing my educational goals. As a single mother of three daughters, balancing the financial responsibilities of raising a family while attending graduate school can be challenging. Scholarship support has helped ease some of that burden, allowing me to focus more on my coursework, professional growth, and the experiences that will help me become a stronger educator.
The support I have received has reinforced my belief that others see value in my goals and potential. Knowing that donors are willing to invest in students like me has been incredibly encouraging and has motivated me to work even harder. It has allowed me to continue pursuing my master's degree in special education while maintaining my commitment to the students and families I serve as an Intervention Specialist.
Looking toward to the future, scholarship support is helping me move closer to my goal of becoming a highly effective special education professional and advocate for students with disabilities. I hope to use the knowledge and skills I gain through my education to create meaningful opportunities for students who need additional support and to help families navigate their educational journeys. The assistance I have received is not only helping me achieve my academic goals but is also helping me make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
One person at SNHU who has had a meaningful impact on my experience is my academic advisor, Sade. Throughout my time at SNHU, she has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that everything on her end runs smoothly, making my educational journey much more manageable. As a working professional, graduate student, and single mother of three, having someone who is organized, proactive, and supportive has made a tremendous difference.
Sade regularly checks in with me, answers questions promptly, and helps me stay on track with my academic goals. She is always willing to share resources and information that may be helpful, and her encouragement has helped me navigate challenges with confidence. Knowing that I have someone in my corner who genuinely cares about my success has been incredibly valuable.
Her support has allowed me to focus on my coursework and professional growth without worrying about administrative details. Sade's dedication and commitment to student success reflect the supportive environment that SNHU provides, and I am grateful for the positive impact she has had on my educational experience.
