The beautiful campus and the amazing professors!
Scholarships and financial aid allow me to register for every course that I need in order to complete my degree. This financial support for school also allows me to focus on saving my hard-earned money from working for my future. Having help with covering school costs also enables me to support myself independently with the ability to afford rent, bills, and other daily expenses.
Thank you! It is extremely helpful, and I can guarantee that any recipient is beyond grateful for the financial blessing they are given.
I chose SNHU because it is close to home, affordable, and the education program has measured up to my expectations.
When I decided to attend college I hoped I would meet life long friends, receive a great education, and gain skills to prepare myself for my passion of teaching children. SNHU has met my hopes by connecting me to students who share the same passion as me and to professors who are committed to helping me reach my goals.
Ever since I was a young child, I wanted to be a teacher. The committed, passionate, and loving teachers I had as a child inspired me. My dream job is to be a public school elementary teacher, specifically second grade.
My professors, Linda Whitmore and Shawna DAmour, had the biggest influence on my SNHU experience. They pushed me in every aspect of my courses and encouraged me to work hard. They shared stories of their teaching experiences, created memorable moments in each class, and showed me that they truly cared about each and every one of their students. The biggest lesson I learned from both of these amazing women is to never give up and to believe in myself.
As an online student, my involvement has looked different from traditional campus life. I’ve engaged in discussion boards, peer collaborations, and learning communities within my courses. I also work part-time in the mental health field, applying what I learn in real time. This balance between academic learning and hands-on experience has helped deepen my connection to the SNHU community.
Managing my class work load with my daily commitments, such as work and family. I'm very good at managing my time, so I split my days up and plan out what tasks I need to get done each day. That is the number one way that helps me deal with my challenge.
I am proudest of myself and how committed I am to bettering my future, the future of education, and children.
I hope to check in and stay connected with my professors to get their advice and input when I am teaching solo.
