I chose Southern New Hampshire University for the flexibility of self-paced learning. I am able to complete my assignments day or night, giving me the ability to be a full-time mother to my sons. I value the staff the most at SNHU, I can honestly say I have not ever dealt with anyone who wasn't knowledgeable, helpful, understanding, and supportive.
The scholarships and financial aid I receive are the only reason I was able to continue my education. As a single income family, finding the money for education is not a priority, these programs make it possible to dream and achieve. Each scholarship I receive takes a financial burden off my shoulders and allows my family to allocate money towards other aspects of our lives.
I would like to say thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean the world to people like myself who never thought they would be able to earn a degree and ensure their family thrives. I am beyond appreciative and will do my best to pay this gift forward in the future.
I started SNHU with support from my husband. I wanted to earn a degree so that I might advance in the Crime Scene Investigation unit I was part of. Any job advancement would have required a degree, and my husband convinced me that I was capable of achieving my goal of graduating college. I am most proud of my GPA and that I was able to achieve my goal while working, caring for a special needs child, and running a home.
Receiving my scholarship has influenced me to continue applying for financial aid in an attempt to alleviate some of the stress associated with cost in my future. I am also considering continuing my education and earning a master's degree.
The staff at SNHU has had the largest impact on me. My advisor Laura is a saint. I have talked to people in numerous departments and positions, and each one has engaged with me with compassion, empathy, support, and respect. I would honestly tell anyone that they would have a difficult time finding a school with a better built-in support system.
