Meet Connor – a first-time volunteer, as an SNHU alumnus, who has dedicated a whopping 38 hours with the Sales Program this year alone! He knows the true value of the program (having been a part of it when he was student) and is committed to being the best mentor and coach to our learners in it now to ensure their success. Check out our Q&A below to learn even more about Connor and his passion for giving back.
I credit the SNHU Professional Sales Program for the success that I’ve had getting into the working world as well as for the success that I’ve seen so far in it. A big part of the Sales Program were the mentors and coaches that I had throughout my time at SNHU who instilled the confidence in me to continue my career in sales. I hope that I can be as great of a mentor and coach as the ones before me and be able to do the same for current SNHU students.
I'd have to say that I really enjoy being able to still be a part of the Sales Program. I started off as a student within the Sales Program and as a competitor in various sales competitions during my time as an undergraduate. Now I'm on the other side of things and I'm a coach, mentor, and even a judge at a few of the competitions that I once competed in. Being able to work right alongside the people that once helped me get to where I am today has been great!
Seeing the week-to-week growth of the sales students that I’ve coached has definitely been the most rewarding result by far. Getting to see the wheels turning and the students gaining more and more confidence as time goes on has been extremely fulfilling.
I came to realize how much I really enjoy coaching the sales students. I also ended up seeing how useful my professional experiences (e.g. participation in sales competitions, judging competitions, and life so far in the working world) can be to students when I'm coaching them.
Definitely, I love being able to come back to SNHU whenever I can. My time at SNHU was some of the best of my life thus far, so being able to maintain my connection to the school in some capacity has been important for me.
For sure! I met my best friends at SNHU throughout my time there and I know that all of them feel as passionate about the school as I do. I know that they would be more than willing to get involved in any way possible given the opportunity.
